First Fish on the Fly

On an Idaho pond full of brookies and native rainbows, I turned my 3-year old son loose with an XLS 11.

He actually made the cast himself, and when the fish ate the hopper, he set the hook!

He landed the fish himself but didn’t want to hold it for the picture. He still doesn’t grasp the concept of catch n’ release…unless its a new puppy!
