Trout fishing in South Africa? Yep, John Miniverni took his game and a couple of CD 3 weights to Cape Town and discovered a very unique fishery. Rainbows were introduced by colonists 100 years ago and thrive in the clear, cold creeks.

Tight, vegetation-lined banks and gin-clear water=technical fishing.

This was rock-hopping at its finest, and each pool held 1-2 fish.

These beautiful little rainbows fell for both dries and nymphs. What an adventure on the Dark Continent!
